Newspaper Service Restored

Our daily newspaper service has been restored after a two-week hiatus. Thank you to Tyler Hoffman (E8-B) for the assitance.

Salisbury FD

One crew from Station 8 was sent up to Salisbury, NC each day to assist the Salisbury Fire Department cover their response area during their time of bereavement.

Station Transfers & Promotions

Congratulation are extended to Denise Osborne (E8-C). She was promoted to the rank of Captain and transferred to Station 17-B. Mike Melillo transferred to Station 6-C. Station 8 welcomes Adrian Cornette and Jason Almond, both of whom transferred to Engine 8-C. Station 8 also welcomes Captain Robbie Honeycutt who transferred to Engine 8-B.

Dennis Williams Retires

Congratulations to Captain Dennis Williams (Engine 8-B) who retired in December.

On Friday, March 7, 2008, the Salisbury Fire Department lost two firefighters while fighting a fire at Salisbury Millwork. Our condolences are extended to the entire SFD family.

CFD sent one truck per day from Station 8 to assist Salisbury during this time of bereavement. The members of Station 8 were honored to be able to help out in Salisbury Fire Department's time of need.
